We are a small caring, community pre-school, who pride ourselves on working closely with the children and families we care for. We care for children from the age of 30 months through to joining Reception at Primary School.
Highfield Pre-School was originally located in Highfield House on Welford Road until it relocated to The Pastures Community Centre in 2000 when the centre was built. Julia Snedker joined the team in 2005 to complete her level 3 training and went on to become the Owner in 2006. Our long history is a matter of pride, and we are delighted to now be welcoming the children and grandchildren of our original pupils!
Our team of staff are experienced, committed and dedicated to supporting children and their families, to ensure your child is happy, secure and makes good progress during their time at Highfield Pre-School. We work with the wider community and professional networks, including the local Schools as well as Health Visitors, other Health Care Professionals and Advisers from the Northamptonshire Early Years Team. We place great importance on these good working relationships and are well respected in return.
At Highfield Pre-School we understand that choosing the right setting for your child is an important decision, so we seek to create a fun, challenging and secure pre-school. Our children enjoy a wide variety of learning opportunities, planned by our experienced team of well qualified, dedicated and enthusiastic practitioners.
The Ethos of the pre-school
At Highfield Pre-school we support all the children in our care to become independent, caring and confident individuals. We do not follow one main learning path as all children follow their own path. What we will do is support and encourage them on their journey. We strive to provide for all the individual needs of all the children who start their journey with us. You never know what you can achieve unless you try.
To support this we will provide :-
Our sessions run from 9-15 to 12.15 Monday to Friday during Term Time. Please contact us for more details using the link below or calling 07443 549 626 (session time only)
At our last OFSTED Inspection in June 2022 we were rated Good and we hold regular and robust internal inspections to ensure we are continually moving forward. (Link to OFSTED: https://reports.ofsted.gov.uk/provider/16/EY341221)
